Abstract
Veterinary practice on companion animals raises unavoidable and sometimes challenging ethical issues. This chapter considers a number of ethical issues that are distinctive to small animal dentistry and oral surgery. The discussion presents several general principles of veterinary ethics and suggests how these principles apply to branches or aspects of veterinary dentistry.
