What is the BSAVA Library?

The BSAVA Library is much more than a collection of our world-renowned manuals - it provides a resource enabling students to discover all of our content, including book chapters, lecture recordings from our annual Congress, articles from Companion, drug dosages from the BSAVA Small Animal Formulary and much more, in one place.  Much of this content is not available for purchase elsewhere - including the hundreds of hours of lecture recordings that the Library offers.

How does access work for library institutional access?

The BSAVA Library content is available to students and staff at university libraries and other organizations using IP recognition or Shibboleth authentication.   Furthermore, individual BSAVA members can log in additionally to access member content, and any individual user can set up a personal account to access their own purchased content and use the personalisation features of the site, such as favorite content and search alerts. BSAVA membership is free of charge to veterinary students and provides many further benefits.

A number of purchase and subscription options are available, including one-off backlist purchase providing permanent access to published manuals, and current year packages providing the latest titles.

Reports

We will provide a report at least annually to each institutional customer, and on request we can set up an administrator login for you to enable you to run your own COUNTER 5 and SUSHI reports.
