Abstract

This chapter is designed to explain the importance and relevance of the nursing process in patient care. The veterinary nurse’s role in assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing and evaluating care is covered. The chapter also explains what is meant by the term ‘nursing model’ and how nursing models can be adapted to good effect by veterinary nurses.
