Abstract
This chapter covers UK legislation concerning raptors, pigeons and passerine birds. It looks at trading in CITES ‘A’ species, the import and export of birds within and outside the European Union, methods and legal aspects of bird identification, the control of zoonoses and, finally, ethical issues such as tethering of raptors and the breeding of mutation passerine birds.
