Abstract
Preventive healthcare strategies ensure maximal welfare as well as saving time and expense in treating avoidable disease. This chapter discusses the implementation of health plans and focuses on vaccination and parasite control in particular. Other considerations covered include wing clipping, pest control, hygiene and biosecurity.
