Abstract
Acute diarrhoea is defined as an abnormally frequent passage of semi-solid or fluid faecal matter, lasting less than 14 days. Diarrhoea is a primary sign of intestinal disease; however, it may also be a manifestation of other systemic diseases. This chapter discusses formulation of a problem list and development of diagnostic and treatment plans.
