In recent years there has been increased development and licensing of several analgesic drugs for veterinary use. There is a good evidence base regarding the use, safety and efficacy of licensed drugs; research into non-licensed drugs, which may be used according the Cascade, continues. This chapter discusses the wide range of treatment options now available to veterinarians.
