Abstract
In this webinar Julian Hoad discusses making choices about suture material. He considers the history of suturing, properties of the ideal suture material, the merits of different needle types, monofilament vs multifilament and suture coating. He also evaluates various specific suture options including silk, maxon, PDS II, Vicryl, Polysorb Biosyn and Dexon S. This one-hour webinar was first broadcast as part of BSAVA’s Learn@Lunch series.
