Abstract

Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) is a tool for management and emergency and critical care patients. This interactive case-based discussion between a vet and vet nurse will discuss the practicalities of performing POCUS and key questions it may help answer both in the emergency and critical care setting, including does the trauma cat require thoracocentesis, is my dyspnoeic dog in heart failure, does my collapsed dog have a haemoabdomen, and is my azotaemic hospitalised cat producing urine?
