This session is aimed at providing an approachable point of contact with the VMD and explaining more about what we do, so that veterinary professionals can feel more supported by this vital regulator. Following the update to the Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013 (VMR) in May 2024, this session will also provide brief further context for the associated changes and assist practitioners in their prescribing decisions. Particular focus will be placed on the principles and misconceptions of applying the prescribing cascade in clinical practice.
