Does infection with haemoplasmas cause immune-mediated haemolytic anaemia in the UK?
Progress of a PetSavers funded Clinical Research Project
Abstract
IMHA is a common immune-mediated disease in dogs and in the majority of cases, no underlying cause is found. Canine haemoplasmas have been reported anecdotally to be a factor and this PetSavers funded project explores this.
