For more than a decade, the Links Group has called for greater efforts to tackle domestic violence directed at both human and animal family members. Increasing recognition of the correlation between the abuse of pets and the abuse of people is contributing to the message at last getting through to the highest levels of government, at least in one corner of the UK.
