Hot topics for inaugural BSAVA Summit; Look out for the new Formulary; Advertising in Companion

This year the over-arching theme for the Big Issues stream at BSAVA Congress on Friday afternoon 3 April is ‘Our Veterinary Profession: Idealistic, Realistic or Optimistic?’ The stream will look at a number of topics currently subject to debate, scrutiny and controversy across our profession.

PetSavers, a division of the BSAVA, is funding a major research project to engage the public and veterinary practices. Carri Westgarth and her team will be using citizen science to develop a canine ageing and well-being tool for use in veterinary practice. Sally Everitt reports…

In recognition of the importance of the role of companion animals in One Health the WSAVA has launched a new online certificate programme. The course has been designed to help veterinarians, doctors and vet nurses understand the importance of companion animals in One Health and to equip them to deal with current and future challenges.
