Ocean Acres Animal Sanctuary Author Alison SpeakmanA chance viewing of a UK veterinary Facebook appeal for a BSAVA Manual of Shelter Medicine for use in a rescue sanctuary in Barbados was the unusual link for BSAVA to discover the amazing work being done to improve the lives of hundreds of rescued dogs and cats on the island. The BSAVA was happy to donate a copy of the BSAVA Manual of Shelter Medicine to this worthy cause which, by chance, coincided with BSAVA President Alison Speakman being able to personally visit the sanctuary during a family holiday. PetSavers interview
Meet the Researcher Funder Authors: Dr Rosie Godfrey and Dr Jeremy KirkPetSavers is the grant awarding arm of the BSAVA with a mission to fund clinically-relevant research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases in pets. It aims to ensure that small animal practitioners have the knowledge they need to tackle the distress and pain caused by those conditions.
