Abstract
Temporary or permanent control of reproduction in the bitch and the queen is a relatively common request. Owners may require oestrus prevention or suppression for a variety of reasons related to hormone-dependent behavioural or physiological changes occurring in their pets during pro-oestrus or oestrus. This chapters deals with medical and surgical approaches.
