It’s not passive - progressing within the veterinary professions, requires effort, hard work, networking, and often pushing yourself out of your comfort zone.

This session is vital for anyone involved in small animal clinical practice. Canine atopic dermatitis is a common skin condition that requires life-long therapy. Following a diagnosis of atopic dermatitis, dogs require careful and regular monitoring. We will discuss how to identify and manage flare factors, what therapy can be used to help prevent flares in a proactive manner. The proactive approach to canine atopic dermatitis will be discussed to include therapy (systemic and topical), owner education and how the RVN can also play a vital role in these cases.

This workshop is split in to two sessions. Session one is to review the RECOVER guiidelines and systematic approach to performing CPR, in the event of a cardiopulmonary arrest. During the theory session, there will be a live onstage simulation of a resuscitation event, which will be broken down into basic and advanced life support. The second session is practical based where participants can work with experts in veterinary CPR with simulation-based immersive scenarios.
