For more general safety and handling, drug action, contraindications, adverse reactions and drug interactions, the reader is referred to the BSAVA Small Animal Formulary and respective drug data sheets. As there are few licensed products for British wildlife the reader should follow the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) Cascade and guidance on the use of medicines in food producing animals where relevant.
