Clinical conundrum
The investigation of haemoptysis in a young Border Collie
Abstract
A 2-year-old Border Collie presented with a 1 week history of progressive lethargy and inappetence, with shallow breathing, coughing and the development of haemoptysis. The presence of a foreign body in the bronchial tree, and subsequent infection, were the cause and the investigation, surgery and follow-up are described.
