Miriam Guedra Allais Author Miriam Guedra AllaisMiriam Guedra Allais is this year’s recipient of the BSAVA Dunkin Award in recognition of her research article entitled Intravenous fluid therapy compared to no treatment following blood donation in cats: a randomized controlled trial, which was published in the Journal of Small Animal Practice (JSAP). Miriam graduated from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2012 and has been working in Emergency and Critical care since. She completed her ECC residency at the Royal Veterinary College in 2021 and worked there as a faculty before joining The Ralph in 2022. Miriam became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2023. Her interests lie in management of sepsis and mechanically ventilated patients, as well as extracorporeal techniques.
