The chapters flow from the required surgical instrumentation into surgery, starting at the oral cavity and nose and working caudally. Each chapter describes diagnosis and treatment, with step-by-step operative techniques for selected procedures. Chapter 11 features a video clip.

This second edition reflects the dramatic changes that have taken place in imaging over recent years. New chapters cover the basics of the different imaging modalities with particular reference to their use in musculoskeletal imaging.
