Abstract
Regurgitation is defined as the passive expulsion of food or fluid from the oesophagus. Careful questioning of the owner is important to help differentiate between regurgitation and vomiting and to enable formulation of an accurate problem and differential diagnosis list. This chapter discusses differential diagnoses; signalment, history and physical examination; diagnostic testing and treatment.
