Abstract
Adjunctive therapies complement more specific treatments in the management of gastrointestinal (GI), pancreatic and hepatic diseases and serve as effective tools in managing acute non-specific GI-related illnesses. This chapter details fluid therapy and nutritional management, as well as manipulations of the enteric microbiome and other treatment strategies to limit ongoing cellular injury.
